A RIDICULOUS RALLY

Follow us as we traverse one third of the Earth's circumference from England to Mongolia, across mountain ranges, deserts, paved roads, dirt roads and no roads. Eric, Ida and Alex make up one of approximately 300 teams who are willing to drive 10,000 miles through unknown countries, filled with unknown people, speaking unknown languages, filled with plenty of vodka, bribes and border crossings, all in the name of adventure. And charity of course!

ERIC GERACI

Eric is 24 years old and lives in Long Island, New York.  He has recently completed a 1,400 mile adventure on a motorbike through Vietnam.  Aside from traveling around the globe, Eric has completed his Bachelors Degree in Airport Management and Air Traffic Control.

He's no stranger to long, strange road trips in various corners of the globe.  Having never met any of his team mates, no experience driving a stick shift and a mechanical resume that's as impressive as the car they'll be driving, who could be a better fit for this team?
IDA TAHERI

Ida is from Sydney, Australia.  The lone Aussie and the only female on the team.  Her greatest achievement has been being refused entry into the Bahamas.  Although, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and being kissed by a pirate on the beaches of Mombasa have also been memorable.

She's been known to get lost in the carpark of her local shopping centre.  Ida will openly admit to anyone, she has about as much mechanical knowledge as you will find in a Cosmo magazine.  What she lacks in mechanical know-how, she makes up for with her management skills and amazing ability to talk absolute rubbish!
ALEX INSEL

Alex is no stranger to adventure. As a teenager, Alex completed the mighty Mongol Rally with his best friend—all in a semi-wrecked car. In the past several years, Alex has been anywhere from the Inca Ruins of Peru, the Arctic Circle in Northern Finland to the break-away region of Abkhazia that was the center of attention in the 2008 August War between Russia and Georgia.

Currently, Alex is a special education teacher in Baltimore City through Teach For America and is finishing up his Masters in Education Studies at Johns Hopkins University. This summer, Alex is most excited about undertaking the southern route and fundraising heaps of money for the Lotus Center in Ulan-Baatar!
