RALLY FOR A CAUSE
The Mongol Rally is more than just an adventure. As travelers we sometimes take for granted the fact that we have the privilage to up and go, completely for leisure. The Mongol Rally is a great opportunity for us to go out and enjoy ourselves, yet again, but it's also a great way for us to give back to the people who have made us feel welcome in their countries time and time again. And we appreciate that.
Every year each participating team is required to fundraise a minimum of £1000. Half of which will automatically be donated to a charity of The Adventurists choice. This year they have choosen to support Cool Earth, a charity that is devoted to saving rainforests that are in danger of being destroyed within the next 18 months.

Half of the money we fundraise has now gone to Cool Earth, but where has the rest gone? Glad you asked! With the rest of the remaining money, our team was able to pick a charity of our choice to make a donation to.
Lotus Children's Centre is an NGO based in Mongolia. The main goal of this organization is to provide care for approximately 100 abandoned children who live at the orphanage. The Lotus Children's Centre's aim is to provide "Primary care to all of the children including food, healthcare, clothing and accommodation" as well as education and help in their post-orphanage lives, by assisting in secondary education and job searches, in hopes to reduce the poverty cycle.
